The Economic & Social Research Council is the main provider of postgraduate awards in the areas of economic and social sciences. The University of Leeds has been allocated a number of studentships as part of the White Rose Doctoral Training Centre (WR DTC), a major new collaboration between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York with a total of 48 ESRC studentships per year over 5 years. The WR DTC is one of the largest consortia in the country and offers a wealth of supervisory expertise across the social sciences as well as numerous training opportunities, particularly focused upon maximising the social and economic benefits of research. These studentships are held in certain clusters/pathways and may be available on either a 1+3 or +3 basis (or a 2+2 or 2+5 basis in a more limited number of cases), depending on the chosen pathway.
Eligibility: Applicants MUST first submit a research degree study application form and be in receipt of a University BANNER ID Number to be eligible for a White Rose Research Studentship. Applications without a valid University ID Number will be rejected. Scholarship Descripton: The International PhD program “Towards Advanced Functional Materials and Novel Devices – Joint UW and WUT International PhD Programme” realized by the Faculties of Chemistry of Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and University of Warsaw (UW), Poland, designed in cooperation with well-recognized international research Partner institutions.

VLIR-UOS awards scholarships to students from developing countries to study a master or training programme in Belgium. VLIR-UOS scholarships cover all related expenses. Every year, VLIR-UOS awards up to 180 scholarships to first-year master students and 70 scholarships to training participants.

Applicants applying for both academic admission and a VLIR-UOS scholarship need to consider both the admission requirements and the scholarship criteria.

Applicants applying for academic admission but not for a scholarship simply need to fulfill only the admission requirements of the host university running the programme.

The host university is in charge of the academic admission of applications.
